The strength of the AAM lies in its ability to
- bring together the vast majority of mutual insurance companies, regardless of their sector of specialisation, their geographical or economic sphere of influence, their size or their turnover,
- promote its values,
- uphold their interests, whilst ensuring both equality for all and respect for their individual characteristics.

Who can become a member?
Membership criteria
Any member of France Assureurs may join the AAM provided they have one of the following legal forms:- mutual insurance company,
- an insurance or reinsurance undertaking within the meaning of the EU insurance directives, including a member company,
- consolidates or combines the accounts,
- a mutual reinsurance company, an insurance group or a mutual insurance group of which at least one member mutual insurance company forms part,
- the central body for agricultural mutual insurance or reinsurance funds,
- mutual insurance,
- an insurance and reinsurance company controlled or managed by statutory bodies within the social and solidarity economy (SSE).
Who can become a partner?
Eligible partners
The following organisations may participate in the AAM’s work as partners:
- Mutual insurance companies or insurance cooperatives with their registered office in Switzerland or in another Member State of the European Union and which are subject to the European insurance directives, or their branches established in France,
- Companies controlled exclusively or jointly by one or more member organisations,
- Insurance companies that are part of groups headed by a mutual insurance company, a union of mutual insurance companies or a provident institution.
